Guard Killed, Shooter wounded in Holocaust Museum Hate Crime, the Washington Post story.

Shooting suspect has long history of ties to Neo-Nazis and extremists, according to CNN.

Was the Republican-criticized Homeland Security report about the dangers from the far right confirmed? There’s controversy?

Here’s a profile of the wounded suspect by Talking Points Memo, but if you really want to know who this guy is/was, you can see a fictional character based on the guy played by actor Stacy Keach in the Edward Norton tour-de-force “American History X”:

If anybody should be able to illuminate this guy, it oughta be the blogospheric right wing jabbermouths, right? Michele Malkin says he’s not really a true right wingnut, he’s as left as he is right because he’s just looney. Debbie Schlussel says it’s all the fault of the anti-Semitic Muslims we let walk around. Meanwhile, it appears the right of the right on the blogs, Free Republic, cunningly deleted from their pages a screed by the alleged shooter about Obama’s birth certificate and such. (You can’t link to what isn’t there and I’m not letting you guys go to such a scary site like Free Republic without someone to hold your hand and that’s final, don’t make me stop this car.)

This internet world can be a bit off-putting at times, don’t you think?
